Any other way to keep ants from escaping other then Talcum Powder and rubbing alcohol,PTFE/Fluon and Vaseline.

Will talcum powder work on its own?
I don't want to get PTFE just yet its a bit pricey and Im not too sure where to get rubbing alcohol from.
If there is another option is it easy to wash off? unlike Vaseline.

Yes! In fact, i found baby powder +alcohol to be much less effective than baby powder/talcum powder on it's own. Just dip a dry cotton ball into a dry container of powder and dab it onto the sides of the outworld. It probably isn't as effective as PTFE, but I know Mikey used dry baby powder for his solenopsis. I keep tetramorium, which are pretty good at escaping. They could climb right over baby powder+acohol, but they haven't been able to cross just baby powder on it's own.
