How should I heat the ideal tube? What’s your recommendation?
I will post a pic soon, when I get the chance, would appreciate the ID!

Says photos are too large! How do I make them smaller… darn it. If only I were the real Doc Lesko I could possibly figure it out.
How should I heat the tube? This setup is in my closet.

Try using google photos. I would use a heating cable for them.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

If you can try finding crickets, that works pretty well, you can also try cooked chicken. How big is the colony? They might just not be hungry.TMoneyAnts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 12:21 amIm having trouble getting my camponotus sensabanous to eat protein. I have tried spiders and fruit flies. Any thoughts?

My colony prior colony had around 35 workers. Just stopped eating and eventually died off. This colony only had one worker and the queen and lots of brood. That’s why I offered one fruit fly. But I have another of twelve that don’t seem interested in protein either

You only need to feed a small colony protein maybe once every two weeks. It could also be that in the wild they would still be hibernating.TMoneyAnts wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 10:27 amMy colony prior colony had around 35 workers.
