Is it hard to find Crematogaster?
I've always wanted to keep Crematogaster, and was hoping that their queens like to congregate on specific things, like Prenolepis like to congregate on trees.

I always see them crawling on the ground. They are pretty large and conspicuous, although I wouldn't know how common they are. You mostly see them in Autust/September in northern climates.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

I haven't even seen a worker from them before around my area, but I have caught queens in which I've rarely or never seen workers of.
