I've gotten about 2 or 3 different replies
can someone please tell me which is correct and why the others aren't?
Lasius sp. is a generalization which means "it is a species of
Lasius, but it can't be determined which one".
Tetramorium is an ok guess given the time of year, but that genus is in the Myrmicinae subfamily and would have two waist segments.
Lasius from Formicinae only has the one petiolar scale.
