New to forum /ant identification

Hello. all. Sorry to come bumbling in here. New to this forum. New to forums in general. I appologize ahead of time if I'm in entirely the wrong place, out of line, etc. I found a few ants in my home, and am hoping to identify them.
They are @ 6.5 cm long, and brownish with a reddish tinge. Found near kitchen cabinets. Please excuse the crude trap.

You have all the necessary detail, which is the most important thing (the photos didn't embed, but photobucket kinda sucks); this is just in the wrong section.

Looks like a Formica aserva worker, although a clearer image of the front of the head (above the mandibles) would help determine this.
