I rap my test tubes in tape, yet it seemed that unwrapping the tape stressed her, therefore she ate 6 eggs, and only has 5. In response, I wrapped containers with tape and put the test tubes inside without tape in instead.

She lost her wings.
So she is no longer a fashion queen. XD

I caught another C. pennsylvanicus queen a few days ago, and she is in a test tube setup. I hope she's mated too!

I will try an experiment. Once winter comes around, I will connect the 2 colonies together, and block the entrance to the other colony's nest with cotton. When spring comes, the 2 colonies will develop the same pheromone id and then I will unblock the tube to the other nest. The queens will be confined only to their test tubes with tubing that queens are too large to get through, and only workers will be able to pass through. Therefore, the queens will not be able to fight, and the workers will hopefully not kill one queen or the other, and the colony will have 2 queens.
