Lasius Niger hibernating above 5c

I'm living in the UK and winters here can sometimes go below 5 degrees Celsius, keeping them cold would happen by me moving them into the shed, how should i keep the temperature above 5 degrees?
I also would like to know how I would move the tank without disturbing them too much? I don't know if they have moved out the test tube permanently, yet.
the shed is not insulated, so i thought maybe a few blankets to cover them would be okay?
EDIT: i thought i should mention that they were supposed to be hibernated this month...
The queen still has unhatched eggs and is laying more, should i keep feeding her the protein jelly?
