Well only as smart as the guy who wrote them but some are getting smarter, yes.
Doing some proper research is the best way to start an antcolony.

Aren't there some sort of bots who gather data from different sites and adapt accordingly without any person controlling them using AI? If those kinds of bots became spam bots life would become hell :?
