Ants I Want to Catch Next Year.

Here are the first few:
  • Camponotus discolor
  • Pheidole soritis
  • Prenolepis imparis
(More will be added eventually.)
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

Here's my list

any Pheidole species. (unlikely since they're mainly in eastern and southern Washington and I'm in the west)
Soil dwelling formica species
Tapinoma/lasius

and if you're wondering I am jealous you have Pheidole in your area.

I am glad to see someone else put their list here!

I want to capture a queen ant next year in the Philippines is...

- Camponotus (different than I have now)
- Carebara Diversa since I am an experienced keeper

In June, at the night, I saw Camponotus queens mating and after next day, Carebara Diversa queens mating (they were huge)

It’s going to be quite disappointing if you catch C. Deceipens. Minor differences unless you consider colony size… 150 workers vs 7k workers…

I want
Atta cephatoles(Ha!)
Formica acrhboldi
Cepatole variants
Trachymyrmex sp.
When you accidentally reply to yourself…

Ok, so on the top of my list is now Crematogaster.
