In nest breeding?

Nuptial flights are coming up and I've been wondering about my tetramorium ants. Can I gather some drones and an elate to get them to breed, then put them back in the nest. (The elate anyway.) I think this could go one of four ways. One, everything works out, and I have two reproductive queens. :D Two, one would die. Three, one could die and the other could get injured. Four, they both die. Thoughts? Also, how do you tell the difference between elates and drones. (For tetramorium.)

If you put one female alate with some male alates its possible they will mate. They mite not mate if they are from the same colony or are not the same species. Male alates have smaller heads, look more like wasps and are usually a lot smaller than the queens.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]
