Probably when I accidentally sat on a Solenopsis molesta colony and ended up catching the whole entire colony with the queen.
Why did I even make a signature if I am just gonna say this.

Re: Your funny/crazy ant hunting stories
I was using a lemon w/ water technique. I think it works because the ants don't like the strong smell. Anyways, all the ants were evacuating to a satelite nest, then I saw a queen. I attempted to scoop her up but failed. In the process (I was using a cotton swab) two majors were attacking my swab. I think the story is funny/cool because when the majors hit the ground I could feel their force when pooling the swab away. It was insane! I was easily able to pool it away, due to their size, but the fact I could EASILY notice their strength, just two majors, it was pretty cool. Further more, they were a small genus. Tetramorium ants.

Re: Your funny/crazy ant hunting stories
sorry but there are no majors with pavement ants. they are not polymorphic. meaning they cant have soldiers. they only have workers, queen ants, and males. sorry to interrupt your story but when I see a mistake I have to correct it. it was just a strong worker.TalANTFlame wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 11:52 pmI was using a lemon w/ water technique.
