So if any of you out there have trouble cleaning your test tube what i like to do is break a barbecue squwere so that its pokey and has little barbs then dig into the cotton with it qland push in the pull it out then grab a paper towel and get it as far into the test tube as you can then pull it out you should have a clean dry test tube hope this helps

Long reptile feeding forceps and a moist cotton ball work well too.
