Sponges work better than cotton for test tubes.

I have discovered that using artificial sponges in the place of cotton is beneficial.

1. There are no strands for the queen and/or brood to get tangled in.
2. I would assume it would limit mold and bacteria growth, as cotton just feeds mold.
3.You can see the brood better if the queen places them on the sponge.

So, how would we get this sponge? ( I assume this question is dumb, but, what kind of "Artificial Sponge" did you get? Only stuff we can find around here is dishwashing sponges XD :lol: )

That's what I mean. A lot of dish washing sponges are manufactured.

Yeah, but the cotton gets stuck to the egg, larva and pupa... Both have trade offs I guess.
