Termites

Hello guys,
Just moved from NY to Germany for my work internship. There is one thing I'm concerned about. I live in a small city (basically rural territory), and I thing there are termites in this old house. Is there any ways to check and to be 100% sure that I'm correct?
Of course, you may say, go and google that, but termites aren't that widespread in Germany. All articles I'm checking are mostly related to US, for example https://xtermites.com/easy-and-clear-instruction-on-how-to-check-for-termites-in-your-house.html
Is there any way to check it in Germany? Or maybe there are some German people here to help me.

Where in Germany are you? Subterranean termites do infest Germany as well as other part of Europe as I just found out. Northern parts of Germany and Italy taking the most hits.
What is making you think it's them? Have you seen one? Termites are highly sensitive to light to the point of death so if you saw this during the day or in a well lit room it's likely to not be a termite, tho I'm no expert either.

If you are finding holes with sawdust under them this also means it is not termites. Could be Woodworms or carpenter ants or something completely different.

Okay I just read that subterranean termites prefair to nest in soils and also not fond of open air for long durations and as mentioned above about the light sensitivity, they will actively avoid any to all forms of light including moonlight.

So, any luck with those termites? There are several methods for determining termite infestation. You may start simply by taping on the wood with a screwdriver. If it sounds hollow and some dust (termite dust) pours out of it, that means it’s full of termite tunnels. Also if you can easily pierce the wood with a screwdriver, that's a sign.
