I’m trying to buy a Camputonus Irritans colony. The seller claims that you can see what the ants eat through their abdomen. Is this true?

They just look clear. It's hard to tell what it is that they ate, but you can tell that they have been eating, as their abdomens are big and swollen and partially transparent.

Except with honey. My Camponotus pennsylvanicus look golden after they eat it.
