Easily Leafcutter ants, Then Trap-Jaw ants, and weaver ants! I also believe hat Diacamma queenless ants are unique too, Rainbow ants also have a unique look, i's a hard choice

Re: Unique ants
You can find something fascinating about any ant species if you look hard enough. Every species is objectively unique.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

Re: Unique ants
I think one of the most unique ants around my area are Lasius claviger. Their workers are orange, their queens are black, with long, skinny abdomens, and they even smell like citronella.
"God made every kind of wild beasts and every kind of livestock and every kind of creeping things;" (including ants) "and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:25

Re: Unique ants
I find Cataglyphis the most unique ant because of their ablity to survive the hottest desert on earth and the way they hold up their gaster.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

Re: Unique ants
Ill go with Batfishspider on this.
Unique is too, emotional a term. its very objective, its essentially asking whats your favorite.
everyone has a different favorite ant (or Most Unique) for a specific reason, thats the one that captures their mind best. Be it Pavement ants, Crazy ants, Marauder ants, Honeypot ants, Trapjaws, Carpenter, Fire, Glider, Subterranean, Army, Iridescent, Forelius, Pharaoh, Formica, Yellow footed, Blue, Harvester, Weaver, Hunter, Big Headed, Odorous, Large Eyed, Cork headed, Calypto, Aphid Farmer, Dorylus, Melissotarsus (has domesticated animals), G. Destructor (jumps), Thaumotamyrmex (pitch fork jaws), And so many more I haven't even hit several subfamilies. I Probably missed someones favorite , or vote for most unique.
Its like why Jaws kept winning "Best Horror movie" the vast majority of voters, had only seen Jaws. It was the only Horror Movie on Broadcast TV for over a decade.
