Omni Nest...

So I recently got my Omni nest from AntsCanada, when I put the tube that came with it in the nest entrance, it smelled really weird so I threw it away. Then, I was putting the lid on the outworld when the outworld smelled the same as the tube, did anybody else have this issue. And is so, is it poisonous to ants?

Just to be safe, you should soak the Outworld and the tubes in very hot soapy water to disinfect it, then rinse it off with more hot water.

I also have a Omni Nest and didn't have any issues with it. I have brought this topic up to the higher ups and one of them should be responding soon.

Maby you should wash it in bleach and then wash it REALLY well. That might kill the germs, bacteria or fungus.

You will want to be careful washing or soaking the outworld portion with hot water. It is held together with glue. Soaking or washing may cause the glue to soften and give you problems.

Regarding the smell, this is the first time I have ever heard this (4 years). I'm not sure what to think or suggest. Can you identify the smell at all? Narrow it down for us maybe?
