Acrylic glue, omninest and substrate

Hi,
Acrylic glue should be fine for the acrylic glass in the omninests right? It's not a toxic glue is it? I was thinking about using acrylic glue to stick small stones around the floor entrance to the omninest outworld so i can add a substrate to it without it falling down into the main nest. Is this a good idea or?
Also would gluing the mesh in place in the hydration system be okay or would that be a bad idea and probably prevent the capillary action from working? I've seen stuff about potential escapes around the mesh. Should I just reinforce it with cotton instead?

I've heard acrylic glue slightly melts the acrylic, thus fusing the pieces together and I've seen people use it in their nests so you should be fine.
Also i don't think mesh will affect anything so you're good with that
