Knowing the exact species will help a lot since according to AntWeb 68% of the 98 species found in my region belongs in the Formicinae subfamily.

Knowing the exact species is often a privilege that comes with photography, and Formica is not an easy genus to identify. You can always call it Formica cf. neorufibarbis (the most widespread species from this group). The cf. means that the identity is not confirmed.
