How To Identify Ants
Re: Ants in my Area
I understand the fear of Solenopsis but they aren't so bad as long as you can keep up with them once their population really starts to boom. Next year try to look near forested areas with bodies of water (river, stream, lake, etc.) Ants, especially most Camponotus species thrive in these conditions. Good Luck.
Re: Ants in my Area
You should be able to find Black carpenter ant Camponotus sp, and Crazy ant, Paratrechina longicornis, both safe and easy to care for.FabulousTwink wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 1:37 pmI’d be more comfortable caring for them when I have some experience, but this is my first time starting an ant farm, so I have next no experience yet.
