Hello I'm new to this Forum and made a account on here to get help regarding Myrmica Rubra. I have got 4 Queens and about 20-30 workers. They are placed in a acrylic nest and acrylic formicarium (but will replace the formicarium with a antkit arena Eden edition.
Everything seemed fine they moved from the test tube into the new nest with no problem. Later on through the day, I noticed a few ants slowly dying one by one. I was getting concerned about this and assumed it might be the humidity being low considering these species require high humidity. So i placed a wet cotton wool and sponge in a tray in the outworld and misted inside to increase humidity.
The next day I came back to see more ants dead as well as one queen. I been researching the whole day on trying to figure out why they are dying. I thought they were supposed to be a easy species to look after.
I really need help regarding this. Any Help would be appreciated.
