Test tube-setup

Can you make your own test tube-setup with pipes and waterproof tape?

Or can you use something else as a test tube? I just got some pipe.

Well for a Test Tube set up no you can't use something other than a test tube. 
But, yes. Lots of ant keepers make "test tube" setups from bottles. These materials vary from tubing to plastic bottles.
