How to keep them humid

I've been reading the AntsCanada Ultimate Ant Keeping Handbook and in chapter 8, it said that it's important to keep the nest moist and humid, but it never really explained how to do that. I guess I can just add drops of water into the soil to keep it moist, but how do I keep the air humid?

what type of formicarium? It sounds like its just an aquarium of dirt? of so then you water the soil. the outworld air doesn't need to be humid, just the nest.
Proverbs 6:6-8

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

An easy way to keep the air humid is to use an old spray bottle once or twice a day. (Make sure the bottle isn't contaminated though)
