I'm sorry that you didn't have any luck with your Lasius, which Lasius type was it? I'm pretty sure I have Lasius Neo-Niger.

Lasius alienus. I collected 30 queens but 25 of them were infected with fly larvae. Out of the other 5 I only have 1 with nanitics and eggs.

I live in north England and I only rembered that the flights were happening right after they stopped in my area. I didn't get any and it was very disappointing as I wanted to start the hobby this year...

It's not too late! I just today have found a place with 3 queens roaming in the same spot. There are queens still lurking! Don't give up! :D

Haven't seen many queens roaming around anymore here in Indiana
