Releasing a Colony

Good evening! I was wondering whether anyone could give me some advice on releasing a colony back into the wild. This specific colony is, as I feel, ready to go back. I thought that leaving the formicarium open in a safe secluded area where some soft and moist soil is for a few days would work. I haven't let the formicarium dry out, but this specific enclosure should dry quickly. This is my first post and my first time releasing a colony. If you guys know any tricks, please share!

Thank you much!

This is a native colony that was captured in the same area.

Whenever I have a colony that gets to that point, I take them out, to like you said a secluded place out if the sun and wait for them to find a new nesting area. Hard thing to do at times, but it is necessary sometimes. Just keep an eye on them. Good luck.
