Queen ant help.
My queen ant which I have an ID yet, ill try to post a picture when I get home, had brood (her first bunch) that has been attack and killed off by mold. She hasn't laid more since. My idea is if I can get her fed some type of protein I can revive her egg laying. Is this possible? And if so, how should I go about delivering it?
Re: Queen ant help.
Wait for a bit and see if she lays eggs or not. Chances are that she is just stressed right now. If she still does not lay eggs, try feeding her some protein. But If the test tube is mouldy, then move her ASAP to another clean tube with the 2 tubes method where you tape them together. Chances are, that the queen will have another batch of eggs in a couple of weeks.

Re: Queen ant help.
Thank you. I'll give it a try. I'll check back in a little while if there are any changes.
Re: Queen ant help.
you could also feed her some sugars like sugar water if that is the case.
good luck
