today i found a black queen ant with her wings still attached crawling around on a squash plant i dont know if shes mated but i have her a test tube setup she is about 3/4 cm long but it's strange because it is so late for them to be flying where i live but if it helps there has not been alot of rain recently and very warm for end of september (about 85 degrees) so plz help tell me why they are flying so late and any guesses on species wpuld be welcome too thx
A prenolepis imparis colony with repletes and a big queen also 10 chickens and 1 annoying brother.

For species identification will will need some photos and some species do fly this late in the year even in places like where you live.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)

my guess is lasius neoniger and sorry the pics just dont cooperate witth me but do you think she is mated since she still has her wings i know it an happen but your opinion would help
