I know about nuptial flights and about keeping and taking care of a queen, but I have a few questions. If I catch more then one queen what do i do with the other queen(s)? What is the best way to find Camponotus queens during thier nuptial flights? And finally, should I just keep test tubes with me at all times during thier nuptial flights?

Keep tubes with you. One in each tube is safest.

You can find them in the spring, around the time it hits 70 F/21 C. They should be easiest to find in parks and at the edges of forests.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
