If the queen ant dies, does a new one rise?
Does an elate make then take over?
Or do they all die.

The colony sometimes adopts a new queen from somewhere else or is absorbed by another colony, but otherwise it usually just dies out.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
