NEED HELP FIRST ANT COLONY
So, I recently found a carpenter ant queen, Im not sure exactly what they are called but it's just the very big all black kinds you find in BC. Are you supposed to keep them in the test tub until 20 workers, or can I place the test tube in a small container so I can easily feed them? If anyone has good advice for me I would really appreciate it if you could share.

For ease of feeding / cleaning, once you have 5 or so workers, you may want to attach a small outworld to your test tube. (the AC protal works great if buying from AntsCanada). You could also use a small container. I find with more than 5 workers, it is a constant battle to keep the ants inside the tube without making a mess and losing ants. The AC portal has been a life saver for me and many ants lol
