Hello to anyone that may read this.
I have over the last few years wanted to keep ants and have decided to do it this year.
Ideally I would like catch a queen Camponotus pennsylvanicus and a tetramorium sp e. I have been looking for any Camputotus but with no success
I live near Toronto is this to early?
and do you think as a new ant keeper these spices are suitable for me?
I have mainly been looking in rotting logs for Camponotus and near sidewalks for tetramorium
Any advice is welcome

Re: New ant keeper
It is a little early for Camponotus, not sure about tetramorium, and both of those are great starter species.
Keep:
3 camponotus pennsylvanicus
2 formica subsericea
