Hello peeps, I live in the UK and am trying to research into an interesting species to keep once I finally have experience whenever Queen Nigella, my lasius niger ant, finally has a successful year hatching of eggs.
My ultimate dream species is Carebara diversa, however unfortunately, it seems I will never get to eventually try keeping this species because of different nativity and the prohibition of importing live species.
However the next best thing is pheidole megacephala which I have read is invasive but present in my country. So my main question now is:
Would it be worth trying to keep these species, or is it a bad idea considering the invasive nature of this species?
Thanks you my new family for your input!

If you can find a wild queen and you don’t release them I think that it is ok
I discourage keeping invasive ants
Do not buy the ants online as it could be fuelling an illegal and dangerous pet trade
