Does anyone know what ants are flying right now. I ordered test tubes they will be here in two day. But I want to start looking for queens soon. I'm in Ogden by the way

Have you collected any queens yet? You should have had opportunity to collect Tetramorium (pavement ant) all around your neighborhood over the past week.

Hey! Just curious to see how the hunting season has been in Utah so far this year, anyone been able to get their hands on Pogo queens yet?

I did not get any Pogos this year. We've been without a storm for so long, I never had the "storm" clue to help me know when they were flying. I went a few times to check the colonies here close to me, but nothing.

Hi, I’m new to ant keeping.
I have one colony I received from GAN project and wanted to catch one of my own queens this year. It’s a stormy day today(rainy), we’ve had pretty decent weather. Does anyone know what kind of ants might be in nuptial flight this time of year?

It might be a little early with how cold it has been. Next few weeks possibly.

Other than driving down to the southern boarder, does anyone know where i might find a good nest of Pogo Rugosus in central utah or west central?

Anyone came across Pogonomyrmex Occidentalis yet this year in Utah?
