Simply break into a non-parasitic Formica colony and collect some pupae (Adult workers could end up killing the queen). From what I've heard, parasitic Formica can care for and open cocoons, as they aren't as helpless as parasitic Lasius and Polyergus. However, if she doesn't seem to be caring for the pupae, introduce some callow (newly hatched, soft, and white) workers, which are generally not aggressive.
