Ant visual spectrum
Does anyone know the light spectrums that are (or are not) visible to ants?
Re: Ant visual spectrum
Most ants see green, blue, infrared or deep red, and many see UV.
This allows them to establish navigational references to the ground (green) and sky (blue) with the sun as a third point of reference (UV or infrared). One science article describing this navigation is https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0003347216000750
