pretty straight forward, I think that will be useful to a lot of people.

Which species can't climb glass.

I read Pogomyrmex when I was trying to find out.
and ants australia has mentioned quite a few of australian exclusive species that cannot.

Beyond that. I have no idea. (I know quite a few that can, Like Pheidole, and Brachymyrmex)
Founding:
3 Solenopsis I/X
5 Tapinoma sessile
1 Nylanderia terricola/vivulda

Colonies:
1 Brachymyrmex patagonicus
1 Pheidole soritis
1 Tapinoma sessile

The difference between a hobby and a scientific pursuit, is detailed notes.

My Camponotus can climb over vaselene and baby powder and rubbing alcohol.

Rhytidoponera have a hard time in general climbing up smooth surfaces. I accidentally left the lid off of my founding setup, and nothing happened. She honestly can’t get a centimetre up before falling upside down.
Current founding colonies:
Tetramorium x 2
Rhytidoponera x 1
Un identified X 1
