I recently found this ant in my yard, it appears to be a formica species, but it was found in august and it seems to have wing scars. it is about a centimetre long.
heres a link to the picture. if it is unclear, then i will post another one.

The Gaster seems a little small for a camponotus (carpenter ant) queen.

do you think it could be some sort of parasitic formica queen?

Maybe,
It could also be a worker. You need a second opinion
