Ant home?
I have been dying to get an ant colony and my parents finally said yes but the only formicarium we can get is a traditional one from the 1900s. Is this ok and do I need an outworld?

Re: Ant home?
Yes, it is fine, and it is a very good idea to get an outworld, as food lying around in the sand area can mold and harm the colony. Also, it is hard to remove old food from the sand area. (Believe me. I've tried. (when I used those antfarms, that is.))Killermoth wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 1:09 amI have been dying to get an ant colony and my parents finally said yes but the only formicarium we can get is a traditional one from the 1900s. "God made every kind of wild beasts and every kind of livestock and every kind of creeping things;" (including ants) "and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:25

an outworld can be as simple as a tupperware container with a hole drilled or melted into the side for tube connections.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
