Need Help with Identifying & Uploading photos of these ants

Hello AntsCanada Forum,

I am having difficulties uploading some pictures of some ants that I would like to know what species there are.

I live in Lancaster, California. It is located in the Higj Desert of Southern California, we are about hour and half north of Los Angeles. These ants are fairly large quite a bit bigger than the common black and red ants we have around here.

The photos I was trying to upload was some close-up shots of the ants compared to a penny. It was incredibly interesting to watch these ants with the penny. I think the ants ended up taking the penny down into their hole.

Anyways can you tell me how I might get the photos uploaded the website is telling me that the photos are too large to upload. (Also took videos of the ants moving the penny - they really are very strong)
