can one encourage a wild ant colony to move into a formicarium

I have a friendly small colony of non aggressive ants next to my porch they have been my buddys for months, these are perfect. perhaps as my first colony.

has anyone successfully encouraged a wild colony to move into their fofmicarium ?

I'm thinking about rigging a rain shetlter next to them adding food next time it torrentially rains, and hope.

is there a more active encouragement?

I have been wondering the same thing. It would be relay cool if you could. But I think if it where that easy people would be doing it more than caching queens.

It would be sweet if that would happen, and it might if the formicarium is ideal condition, let me know if anyone tries this and succeeds
