If you are looking for a queen ant you will have to wait till winter is over. Ants up North do not have nuptial flights in the winter.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Where abouts are you? I am on the GAN, and there are a few others here in Alberta also.

Hey I am new here. But I am in Edmonton. I am looking into getting a colony as well and see there is a few places listed in the GAN but most of them have no colonies or very few listed.

What were you looking for? I only have Formica podzollica (or similar) and Lasius (neo-niger / Americanus) available at the moment. Camponotus tend to be the most popular but it was not a good year for finding queens last year.
