Three day thunderstorm in southern ontario. Gonna saturate EVERYTHING worst case scenario no queens but should see lots of damage control being done for pictures of wild colonies atleast.

Lots flying in Toronto today. Caught several Myrmica rubra in the pool, saw a load of Solenopsis molesta queens (too small for my liking), caught a Stimatoma pallipes I think, and in Markham Lasius neoniger are flying.

I can second this. Today was the day to find your queens!! I even saw Tetramorium :lol:

So the last three days in southern ontario we've had high high humidity and rain and everyday there's been a nuptial flight yesterday's started at 6 pm and the were all mated and wingless by 10pm

Wow saw three different species flying today if it's as humid there as it is here and you want a queen go out today.
Humidity today is between 57 amd 89%

10PM another huge nuptial flight look along store windows with lights/bright walls. Alot of smaller species are now congregating.

Lots of rainy but cold days ahead may see one or two last minute flyers I wonder if we're going to get an early or late winter this year.

I believe I saw pogonomyrmex. . Last night but it was so quick that by the time I realized what I saw turned around to look at her again she was gone... but I'm almost positive.
