Re: Nuptial Flights Europe (Eurasia)
Awesome, well done!
I'd love to see some pics of your queens settling in
We have the same drought here in the netherlands, but sadly only Lasius niger seems to enjoy it...
I've been checking up on some wild colonies every once in a while and though they have enlarged their nest openings like two weeks ago... no nuptial flights have happened yet as far i know.
But if they are flying in other countries i remain hopeful! Would love to get my hands on a Formica fusca myself!

If the weather report can be trusted it looks like belgium will get some nice thunder and rain this afternoon/tonight...
So happy hunting tomorrow everyone living in belgium! Let us know if you catch anything

Finally after multiple Lasius Niger nuptial flights for S.England, I've spotted lots of Lasius Flavus workers and occasionally some elates at small openings. I'm hopeful to finally see a Lasius Flavus nuptial flight for 2018!!!

I was right. I'm currently surrounded with hundreds of mating Lasius Flavus elates! It feels like it's my birthday!AntsIkhlef wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 12:39 pmNice!
