Trap jaw queen!?

Hello i recently came across a trap jaw queen or so I think... I don"t have problem identifying if it is one or not i just don"t want to take in a infertile one as they are semi cloistral and a lot of work during this period. The exact species i'm pretty sure is Odontomachus brunneus and I need to know if they are flying or I just caught one that was in a colony near by that I didn't see. This was caught in USA Florida and from what i hear they are rear in this area.
