Ants flying in Sydney, Australia

Generly the only time you see flying ants is a nuptial flight. Did it rain prior?

sounds like it is! Ants are everywhere in the world including around your house! I'm in Adelaide and eagerly awaiting our signs of nuptial flights. No luck so far, still fairly cold tho.

Rhytidoponera metallica (not too sure if I spelt this right) were flying yesterday in my area too I already had one in a test tube so I didn't bother collecting any.
