Hey all! In Fort Collins here and collected 4 queens (I believe tetramorium) this evening between about 5 and 6 PM. Weather was humid and in the 90s all day, we've had afternoon thunderstorms most days this past week except for today, so perhaps that is what spurred the flight. I did not actually see any ants in the air, however I saw a couple sets of workers with what looked like dead males. Had my best luck in an area immediately surrounding an apartment complex as opposed to a few blocks away near a grassy park. I've been walking my dog in the same area around the same time for a few weeks, this is the first time I've seen ants that look like this, and they were all over today.
Also, collected a Camponotus queen last week and it has layed one egg so far (first time checking on it was to put these queens in the same cupboard). Only saw the one that day, haven't seen any since.
