Snowing here in Denver, and supposed to be cold for a couple of days, then high 70's by the end of the week. So, getting closer still.

I really want honeypots so if you happen to hear about a Myrmecocystus mexicanus flight, I can jump in the car and drive to the western slope :)

Hey there fellow Colorado Ant nerds, hope you found many queens so far this year. Been finding a few pogonomyrmex occidentalis queens out here on the western slope, so keep an eye out if you are looking for one. If any of you are discord users, should join this Ant keeping discord https://discord.gg/qrAqPAQ , really active, but would be cool to get more people from colorado on it.

I've been noticing a lot of tetramorium sp. e and Pogonomyrmex Queens lately around the Boulder area.
