CabboAntsGuy, hi. I'm in outagamie, so a few hours away from where you're at. I've been out looking today and found 2 kinds of formica. I brought my magnification jar along to help get IDs. On my way backI noticed a different looking one. I scooped it up to check it out and saw wing scars! Not sure on ID yet. I'll dig into that soon!

Southwestern Michigan checking in, was snowing a little earlier in the week but just flurries. warming up and 70 today but raining on and off. no Queen ants seen yet

Camponotus Pennsylvanicus queens spotted in the Wisconsin Dells. One caught in the area I live in.

west central but one thing to note is this out of all my 8 years of anting I've never seen anything like this before for three days so far they have been flying on and off at what appear to be totally random times I've caught 17 so far but it is so weird It is 9 o`clock and I seen one with wings :? in previous years they would have massive flight I typically caught 50 or so this slow paced flying is killing me this is supposed to be my biggest flight of the year
