It's going to rain all day tomorrow, probably past sunset. How long after it rains should I look?
If it is still raining at 9PM, they may not fly at reasonable hours. If it stops at 7, try to look around one hour after sunset.
I'm in the middle of a two-week period between the end of the spring semester and the summer classes I'm taking. I got some extra time, and can stay up late, if need be.

They don’t always fly really late, sometimes immediately after sunset(Or so I have heard). I know other Camponotus will fly from 5-11PM, depending on conditions

I've caught all of my camponotus in New York between 1-5 pm so far, I've only seen a couple males at night.

I got a queen today! I posted a thread in the Ant Species Identification Center.

Is it? Alright, will inform some people of that. So, first you need an imagur/google photos sharing on/ photo bucket account. Then, (I recommend google photos or imagur) post a pic on google photos with sharing on, then out the link here. Same thing with imagur, post the picture, give us the link.

These are the 2 Camponotus novaeboracensis queens I caught on May 22nd. The second queen was caught on the path I have photographed in the album to show the kinds of places I like to search. That queen was found on that path at around 330 pm.
