Hey guys, Pennsylvania here. When is a good time to look for a false Honeypot queen? And how do you go about looking for such a queen?

They'll start flying just around the time the temperature starts to hit 60-70 degrees F, late March and April.

These ants need a relatively cool environment during the summer. In the wild, they nest very deep underground.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
